Merry Christmas 2008

I tried to get cards out but I didn't get all the ones out that I wanted to, I just ran out of time, so hopefully this will work well enough. We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

Eden's joy school group did a nativity play at a nursing home. She was the inn keeper or "inky bird" as she would say. She had one line "no room!" and she was so cute. I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pictures but you can go to Stef's blog or April's blog to see more pictures. We did it again with a smaller group for our joy school party so the boys were able to participate in that one and I was able to get some pictures.

Eden dresses up for the missionaries

Before: I happened to get a few shots of Eden in the morning because I wanted to remember her hair and there were some cute ones of Eden and Sam, but also now you can see that she started out the morning looking nice and normal.

After: When the missionaries arrived we called Eden down for dinner and this is what we found:

She had decided she needed to put on some make-up!

White elephant party

We had our fifth annual white elephant party. It was a ton of fun. I, of course, stressed over it because there are just so many people we could invite. I didn't want to leave anyone out but we couldn't fit our whole ward! We still invited as many as we could and we really do have some great fun friends here. I didn't get great pictures because we were just too busy but I managed a few snapshots. One is with E- displaying the gift he one, a hairpiece that couldn't have gone to a more deserving person! Some other hits in my opinion were a half-eaten box of chocolates with pictures of the family eating them and a reindeer that pooped candies. My mind is now blank on the other ones but I think everyone had a good time. There was also a ton of good food that people brought to share. We tried something new this time, we gave everyone a famous name on their back when they came in. They had to figure out who they were and then when it was white elephant time we drew their famous names out to choose the order. We love doing this party every year!

Model wannabe

We got the kids dressed up to take some Christmas pictures in front of the Christmas tree. Eden was ready first so we took a few pictures of her first and she hammed it up for the camera.

Our little romantic one

Kolby would probably be embarrassed if he knew that I posted this but it was just so cute that I coudn't not include it. He has a little friend K from church that is also in his school class and they are the best of friends. There is another little girl whose name also starts with a "k" that they play with and they call themselves the three K's. One day I found this little book/card he made for her. I think you can read the writing that is in black crayon, but I think this is what is written in pencil: "You are prity. I like to play at ressece with you. I like to play with you. Do you like your pictre on the front." and under the picture it says "so yes or no gess" with a blank line for her to answer. Just don't ever tell him I told you about it!!

snuggle time

Jessica joined us for a few days so Kolby took the chance to snuggle up and watch a movie! She also made a few holdiay cookies for me and we went looking at Christmas lights.

Thanksgiving in a few words and a lot of pictures

Tucker was sick the whole week, sadly, this is how he looked but I'm not sure why Sam took a picture!

All the cousins on my side of the family!

Sam cooked almost the whole dinner and Brooklyn and Eden had fun together.

They also competed for the attention of Aunt Laura and Grandma!

I had to get a picture of Rob and his kids since we don't see them much.

The picture of Jessica shows what we saw of her most of the week and the boys wanted to be there as much as we would let them too and the other picture is just completely random.

The air mattress we brought did not work well so Sam had the boys help him deflate it all the way. The scary old man picture is Rob - mid haircut - he had Sam shave his head so he first went straight down the middle and we thought it made him look like a creepy old man.

We braved the Idaho cold to hit black Friday. Above is Sam and Rob at breakfast after the crazy shopping and the next one is us in line at Sears at 4:30am! (I just went to tag along, I don't think I'll be doing that again, I actually had a lady grab my shoulders and move me out of her way like you might do to a little kid!)

Growing tradition

I try to remember to take these pictures of the kids every year on their birthday. I actually remembered to take one of Eden in my dress that I wore on my wedding day when I wasn't wearing my wedding dress but I forgot Brady and Kolby on their birthdays so I caught up with them in Sam's Steve Young Jersey as well.

Just a month late

Eden turned three back in November but I'm finally getting to her birthday pictures. She opened a few family presents in the morning.

She got baby bottles and bed for her babies.

She was set on having a party and I meant to plan one, but then this whole moving thing came up so we came up with a quick last minute party with a few friends and Sam's family one evening and that satisfied her. She also had presents from my family to open. My mom gave her the beautiful white Christmas dress.

Tucker soon realized he could climb into the baby bed, he was quite proud of himself!
