Sweet Assurances

I had a wonderful weekend. Just having the chance to go to Time Out For Women is always amazing. On top of that, this time I got to be the scholarship coordinator on the volunteer team and work my friend that was in charge who is just amazing at organizing the volunteer efforts and also share the experience with so many other good friends. The best part of all was that I got to share the experience with Sam. He went as one of the ASL interpreters, but it was so neat for me to have him there. These pictures are out of order, but I'll explain them.

When it was over, all the girls gathered at Mimi's, and Sam-he got to have the full girls' night out experience! I just love these girls!
These are two pictures of Sam interpreting for one of his favorite speakers, Kim Nelson, he was really funny, but I think Sam also liked him because they had a great connection when Sam drove him to the airport!

And this one is just funny!

This picture makes me happy and sad. When we took it I said, let's get one last picture before we all go our separate ways, that makes me cry just thinking about it now, but it makes me happy to know that I'm standing with two amazing people that have taught me so much and I personally think the three of us make such a great team! I believe that people come into our lives for a reason and I know that I am a better person because of the friends I have made here in the last two years!

The End

The boys spent some time floating around together in a raft train
Kolby and his friend Eli on the white trash raft
Eden spent most of the day with all the girls working on a sand project under the direction of Meilani and they just love to be part of the "team"

By the time we left on the last day, the lake was pretty cold, but someone challenged the men to jump in...
and here it is in action!
And that's the end of my camping pictures! We are sad that we won't get to carry on this tradition but we are so thankful we had the chance to spend time with such wonderful people and eternal friends!

Fire

Jordan and Brady really got into building the fires

and they had a captive audience the whole time

After much effort, Jordan was able to get it lit!

The first day on Huntington Lake

Our friend rented a boat for the day...I guess we couldn't find a jacket in Kolby's size!

Tucker with his girlfriend again, his other girlfriend was there too but somehow we never got a picture of them!

The boys spent a lot of time fishing off of this dock, especially Brady, he spent hours fishing and can't wait to go with grandpa sometime and Jordan actually caught the only fish of the trip while on fishing off the boat! He was quite proud!

Camping Pictures

I mentioned before that we went camping in July and I'm finally getting around to posting the pictures. I'm sure I would have added a lot more details if I had done this right away, so maybe its a good thing I waited! I'll spread them over a few posts because there are a ton of pictures, because we will always have some great memories of camping with our friends that I don't want to forget!
Setting up!
S'mores!
Sam became the official stick whittler for all the kids!

Bling

I've been meaning to post about this since we went to Open House at the school in May but it took me until we sorted school papers to finally take these pictures. We've always known that Jordan was an imaginative, clever, witty kid, but the artwork brought it home. The first was in the note above. The parents were supposed to guess who their kid was by the description. All of the other kid's papers said "I am a boy or I am a girl" but we knew it was Jordan as he is the only one who would start out with "I am a superhero!" If you notice, all of his artworked is "blinged" out! Cell phones, chains, earrings. I'm not sure where he gets it because he doesn't see it at home or on TV and all of the rest of the children's artwork was very normal but Jordan just loves to be different and make things stand out and I do love his imagination!
To go with this theme, my sister got him a huge bling while they visited in the summer and her daughter had him dress up a bit to look the part!

Wordless Wednesday
