How hard is it to call and cancel an appointment if you are not going to make it? This is the 4th time I've had an appt. for someone to look at the house and then not show up!

Just got the nicest call from an older lady at church just letting me know how much she is going to miss our family and I don't even know her very well, I wish I was even close to as kind as she is!

It was fun to find some branches of a cherry tree laden with fruit hanging over our fence...if only the rest of the news this week was this fun!

Gum

We had fun with Jordan's science project.  He decided to see which gum flavor lasts the longest.  We had fun trying out all the different flavors.  The final verdict...mint gums last the longest!

Thriller

Brady's class put on an end of the year tea for the parents.  Part of the entertainment was their performance of Thriller.  Brady had been dreading this, but he still did a great job.  If you can't tell who he is, he is the one in a blue shirt and blue pants. It was cute to see him mouthing the words the whole time that they used to learn the steps but he did remember it all really well.  After they performed, they did it again and invited parents to join in.  Of course I couldn't miss a chance to dance so I jumped right in and it was fun to try it with the kids!  Brady really had great teachers and a great class and I'm sad that he won't be able to continue on with them next year.

missionaries

We always have a lot of fun with the missionaries at our house and Eden especially connected with Elder Hansen for some reason!  Elder Christiansen was being transferred so we were all about pictures and they joined in a game of "simon says" at family home evening!

Character dress-up day

Kolby had a character day at school and I guess he and his friend agreed to dress up as characters from Lord of the Rings.  This was the best we could come up with, I thought we did a pretty good job but Kolby felt embarrassed and took the wig off before he even got to school and the rest off before the day was through.

UFC

If you are unfamiliar with the UFC, it is mixed martiadl arts fights that Sam loves to watch.  You can imagine how excited he was to find out that his new company needed and interpreter to go to Vegas and interpret for a deaf fighter that they sponsor.  Sam was quick to volunteer and he had a lot of fun.  He and his employee took off for the weekend and interpreted the weigh-ins (you can watch that here and go to about 20 minutes into the video to see him interpreting on stage), they don't use interpreters during the actual fight but then they got to interpret for the press conferences after as well.  I'm not even going to attempt to explain all of these pictures but if you don't know the UFC just know that these are cool pictures and if you do know the UFC then hopefully you will recognize them!
